I am back from London where I presented and chaired at Food Matters Live conference, it was a blast and I met so many new people. Here´s also a shout-out to all the new subscribers! Welcome and I hope you´ll enjoy the weekly issues. There is definitely a move towards empowering expert nutrition professionals in this rapidly developing field. I also tried loads of new foods from puffed quinoa to birch water and collagen-enriched beauty drinks, mainly things I probably would never buy myself. Loads of interesting and new projects happening next year and it´s soon time to have a look at all this years´ events and developments.
In this week´s issue; personalized diet based on glucose levels and the microbiome, new research, EU regulation and wearables, new statin-gene test gets the once over from experts, seaweed for cardiovascular health, nutrigenomics meets Ayurveda and video by Genomics England.
